British Conservative Party leader David Cameron and his family should have the sympathies and prayers of all American conservatives today. He and his wife Samantha have lost their six year old son Ivan who died after a long battle with cerebal palsy and epilepsy. The Camerons have two other children and the British Conservatives are, under his leadership, experiencing a revival of their fortunes after nearly 12 years of Labour Government. The House of Commons suspended Prime Minister's Question Time today as a gesture of sympathy for the Camerons. The British Conservative Party website

As an American Conservative and admirer of British Conservatism, I wish to extend my personal sympathy to the Camerons and my prayers that they will experience God's healing comfort at this time. Even though I don't have children, I appreciate that all children are God's precious and unique blessings.
