Another example of superficial mainstream media political reporting is their coverage of liberal students at the University of Texas-Austin and other universities supporting Clinton and Obama. From the standpoint of the "mainstream media" you would think all university students are part of the Clinton or Obama cults. That's hardly the case. A fair number of students have been captivated by the libertarian utopianism of Ron Paul. More importantly, there are plenty of conservative and Republican students in organization like Young Republicans, Young Americans for Freedom, and other conservative organizations who have worked for candidates like John McCain, Mitt Romney, and Mike Huckabee. Where is the adulatory media coverage of these students working for the candidates who espouse the principles they believe in? Have you seen Tim Russert or any other mainstream media outlet do any kind of analysis, let alone, substantive analysis of what conservative students are discussing during this year's election cycle?
These media outlets are so convinced that the world revolves around liberalism and the deluded belief of its adherents that only they are the ones engaging in politically proper thinking that they are intellectually incapable of conceiving that others do not adhere to a liberal political Weltanschaung and that there are intelligent, articulate, and moral exponents of conservative political viewpoints.
